We always strive to make hard, long lasting bars of soap that will not break down quickly. This means that our bars have less water which means that your soap won’t shrink or loose much weight as it cures. Our soap also contains more of the skin nourishing oils and butters than most recipes since we have reduced the amount of water in our recipe. We do not use any artificial bar hardeners and instead have chosen to focus on including more oils and butters for your skin’s benefit. However, no matter our efforts to make a hard bar, it is always best to keep your soap in a dry place whenever possible. Even just allowing the soap to dry in between uses will be of benefit. All of the ideas below will greatly lengthen the life of your bar of soap!

–Remove soap from the shower or tub and place in a dry spot where it can drain well or place a soap dish with holes in your shower or tub area.
— When you receive the bar of soap, cut it in half immediately and only use one half at a time in the shower or bath.
–Try to keep the soap in a less humid environment. This may mean using a bathroom fan or even just making sure that you allow the shower to dry out in between uses.
