Shampoo and Conditioner Bars

Shampoo and Conditioner Bars so you can bundle and save!
Curate a kit of two or more of our shampoo and conditioner bars. This is the perfect kit for when you need to purchase both a shampoo and conditioner bar at the same time, or when you simply want to stock up on several bars and save!

The shampoo bar cleans and conditions your hair with moisturizing oils and butters. With natural, vegan proteins, it will leave even the most dry hair looking shiny, nourished and revitalized. The nourishing conditioner bar will smooth, protect, and hydrate your hair without any buildup. Made with nourishing proteins and organic butters and oils, this zero waste conditioner bar is the perfect choice for all hair types.

Both the shampoo and conditioner bars are zero waste and eco friendly. While these shampoo and conditioner bars might look smaller than bottle, they can easily outlast the liquid stuff that typically contains over 50% water. Just skip the water, the added preservatives needed because of that water, AND the plastic bottle that can sit in a landfill.

We offer both a bar with a tin for easy travel/safekeeping of your conditioner bar, and a refill bar for those who already have the tin and/or who don’t need the tin. Make sure to choose the correct option for you when you go to checkout.

Shampoo and conditioner bars key ingredients

Quinoa protein

Quinoa protein

Quinoa Protein offers a unique combination of molecular weight amino acids that allow for enhanced penetration and nourishment along with film forming properties that help the hair repair, protect the cuticle, protect colored hair from fading, increase hydration, and have more shine.

Baobab Protein

Baobab Protein

Baobab protein is produced from the seeds of the Baobab tree out of Africa. Baobab is one of the most powerful hair repair complexes because it is rich in amino acids that directly benefit the hair. Baobab Protein has shown that it can aid in damage recovery, protecting and nourishing the hair, as well as strengthening and conditioning. Baobab Protein hydrates the hair and also forms a sheer film top of the hair to protect and provide a conditioned feel. With the use of Baobab Protein, even the most processed or damaged hair will look and feel more smooth without any frizz. The increased strength and improved elasticity allow the hair to simply flow and become easily manageable.

Babassu Oil

Babbasu Oil

Babassu Oil has amazing conditioning and repairing properties for the hair. Babassu Oil is so well absorbed, it doesn’t leave behind a greasy film like coconut oil can. Because it is so nourishing and easily absorbed, it can actually penetrate the hair shaft to offer repairing properties. With the regular use of Babassu Oil, the hair will become more elastic and less dry and brittle. The results are hair that is shiny, voluminous, and healthy. Not only does Babassu nourish the hair, it also can heal an itchy, flaky scalp due to its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Cupuacu Butter

Cupuacu Butter

Cupuacu Butter is incredibly nourishing and rich with polyphenols, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids to benefit damaged skin, combat free radicals, all while protecting and moisturizing. For the skin, Cupuacu Butter helps to soften and hydrate while brittle, damaged hair can see a return of its healthy shine, body, and volume. Cupuacu Butter performs like no other butter and delivers true healing and restructuring benefits to the skin and hair. Cupuacu Butter can attract and retain water while guarding against moisture loss. This nourishing butter can improve the moisture barrier in the skin and hair by preventing water loss which means increased elasticity for the skin and hair.

Our Commitment To Quality

As with all of our products, we make these zero waste shampoo and conditioner bars in small batches to insure a fresh product of the highest quality. We have researched and sourced only the most powerful and pure ingredients to keep your hair feeling soft, manageable, and healthy. Our compostable and reuseable packaging mean that these shampoo and conditioner bars are not only good for you, but good for the earth as well.

Suggestions for use

Shampoo Bar:
Wet hair. Slide bar over wet hair several times. Massage in to hair and scalp to lather. Rinse thoroughly. Between uses, put the bar somewhere it can dry out in order to prolong the life of the bar. We always strive to make hard, long lasting shampoo bars that will not break down quickly. However, no matter our efforts to make a hard bar, it is always best to keep your soap in a dry place whenever possible. Even just allowing the shampoo bar to dry in between uses will be of benefit. All of the ideas below will greatly lengthen the life of your bar of shampoo!

–Remove shampoo from the shower or tub and place in a dry spot where it can drain well or place a dish with holes in your shower or tub area.
— When you receive the shampoo bar, cut it in half immediately and only use one half at a time in the shower or bath.
–Try to keep the shampoo bar in a less humid environment. This may mean using a bathroom fan or even just making sure that you allow the shower to dry out in between uses.

Ingredients

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), Decyl Glucoside, Coco-glucoside, Cetyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium methosulfate (BTMS), Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, Conditioning Honey, Broccoli Seed Oil, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Quinoa protein, Hydrolyzed Baobab Protein, Capuacu Butter, Babbasu Oil, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Rosemary Essential Oil, Organic Peppermint Essential oil, Wildcrafted Palmarosa Essential oil.

INGREDIENT INFO:

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI)
Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Database lists this ingredient at the lowest hazard level of 1. (https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/706048/SODIUM_COCOYL_ISETHIONATE/). Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is a surfactant derived from coconuts. It is truly one of the most gentle surfactants available and has been studied for safety quite often with excellent results. This coconut based surfactant has a rich and creamy foam that leaves your hair feeling conditioned and it is gentle enough on the skin that it is approved for leave-on applications.

Decyl Glucoside
Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Database lists this ingredient at the lowest hazard level of 1. (http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/701883/DECYL_GLUCOSIDE/). Decyl Glucoside is a vegetable derived ecocert approved surfactant. Decyl Glucoside is derived from the renewable raw materials of sugar and coconut. This surfactant is readily bio-degradable and extremely mild on the skin and hair. Several clinical skin irritancy tests show decyl glucoside to be non irritating. Even at high concentrations with an extended contact period, there was no observable reaction on the skin.

Decyl Glucoside does not contain any impurities. Its chemical nature and the production process results in a surfactant without ethylene oxide or 1,4-dioxane.

Coco-glucoside
Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Database lists this ingredient at the lowest hazard level of 1. (http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/701535/COCO-GLUCOSIDE/). Coco Glucoside is a naturally derived surfactant. Like Decyl Glucoside it is ultra mild, and one of the most gentle of the cleansing agents. Coco Glucoside is made from both coconut and sugar. Coco Glucoside does not contain any impurities. Its chemical nature and the production process results in a surfactant without ethylene oxide or 1,4-dioxane.

Cetyl Alcohol
Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Database lists this ingredient at the lowest hazard level of 1. (http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/701263/CETYL_ALCOHOL/). Cetyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol from coconut oil. This is not an “alcohol” that has been distilled from grains or one that is from petrochemicals. In contrast to those types of alcohol, this coconut based acetyl alcohol is very moisturizing

Behentrimonium methosulfate (BTMS)
BTMS is derived from Colza oil and is not petrochemical based. Therefore it does not coat the hair and lead to build up. Instead, BTMS penetrates the hair for improved conditioning and an incredibly soft feel. BTMS also contains Cetearyl alcohol. Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Database lists this ingredient at the lowest hazard level of 1. (https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/701236/CETEARYL_ALCOHOL/)

Stearic Acid
Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Database lists this ingredient at the lowest hazard level of 1. (http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/706311/STEARIC_ACID/)

Panthenol
Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Database lists this ingredient at the lowest hazard level of 1. (http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/704436/PANTHENOL/#)

Hydrolyzed Quinoa protein
Hydrolyzed quinoa protein is simply an extract of quinoa mixed with water. Quinoa protein has been used on the hair since ancient times when the Andeans used the quinoa wash water as a shampoo. (http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredient/703013/HYDROLYZED_QUINOA_PROTEIN/)

We aim to offer the purest body and home care items possible. To accomplish this, we have to store our products in a way that protects their potency and life without adding any dangerous chemicals or preservatives. We dug into the research and after much contemplation, we decided the best way to offer our customers highest quality products was to select Miron glass jars and bottles. The completely unique properties of Miron glass means that only violet light and the spectral range of UV-A and infrared light can pass through while all visible light cannot. These frequencies of light have been found to protect while visible light accelerates decomposition. UV-A light, which can pass through Miron glass, is responsible for slowing down growth of bacteria, mold, and pathogens. Infrared light, which Miron glass also allows through, has been shown to have healing properties. The dynamic energy of the nourishing products contained within this specialty glass is preserved thereby making it perfect for storing any type of remedy including ones for your skin and hair.
