How to use

New moms can soak in Postpartum bath herbs as soon as they are healthy and ready after a vaginal birth. Sometimes this can be as soon as an hour after birth. Baths can be taken daily or even twice daily to promote healing. Baby can bathe with mama as the herbs help promote drying and easy healing of the umbilical cord. Preparing the Postpartum Bath Herbs is as simple as making a cup of tea or infusion.
Herbal Tea/Infusion: Place a bag into a mason jar, or other heatproof container preferably with a lid that can be sealed, and pour 4 cups of boiling water over the herbs and put the lid on the container. Allow them to steep for a few minutes for a tea or even better for 4 to 8 hours in order to obtain maximum potency. Take out the bag and use the infused liquid directly in your bathwater, in a sitz bath, or in a peri bottle or compress. The herbs in the bag can be discarded or composted and the bag can be rinsed and reused or composted.

Postpartum Bath Herbs
Quality Ingredients

Certified Organic Herbs of Uva Ursi Leaf, Yarrow Flower, Plantain Leaf, Witch Hazel Bark, Comfrey Leaf, Comfrey Root, Shepherd’s Purse, Lavender Flowers, Arnica, Calendula, Helichrysum, and food grade Himalayan Salt.

Our key ingredients

Witch Hazel

Witch Hazel

Witch Hazel has been studied extensively for its many skin benefits. It is a potent anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. Studies have shown that witch hazel can actually inhibit the growth of certain microorganisms and bacterial colonization. Witch Hazel acts as an astringent and can promote skin and wound healing.

Helichrysum

Helichrysum

Helichrysum contains anti-microbial and regenerative compounds that promote healthy skin cell growth and regeneration. Helichrysum can aid in the healing of wounds, burns, and rashes and the appearance of scarring. This essential oil can make the skin look more firm and youthful.

Plantain

Plantain

Plantain, or Plantago major, has been used for centuries in most regions of the world for skin conditions. It has traditionally been used to treat inflammation and heal wounds while offering protection as an antimicrobial and pain relief as an analgesic. Topically applied plantain can also sooth even the most itchy skin.

Yarrow

Yarrow

Yarrow is an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic herb that has been used on the skin for centuries. Because yarrow contains silica, it can greatly aid in wound healing and repairing damaged tissue. Yarrow contains astringent tannins and resins that can help open the pores and increase circulation.

Calendula

Calendula

Calendula has long been used by herbalists as a treatment for the skin. Calendula has been shown to speed healing, moisturize delicate skin, and calm inflammation. Some studies even show that calendula has re-epithelizing activity which makes it a wonderful extract and herbal infusion in many of our creams, balms, and salves.

Our Commitment To Quality

As with all of our products, we make these Postpartum Bath Herbs in small batches to insure a fresh product of the highest quality. In order to craft these postpartum bath herbs, we chose the most powerful healing, soothing, certified organic herbs and combine them with just the right amount of food grade Himalayan salt to speed healing.

1 review for Postpartum Bath Herbs

  1. Anna

Lovely product. I looked forward to using these those first couple weeks after baby arrived. I had a small tear and these baths made everything feel better. It also smelled very lovely from all the flowers and herbs, but was not overwhelming for my sensitive nose.
